Description

Our partner is an urban mobility platform start-up that provides cyclists, couriers, delivery drivers, scooter riders, and

where the journey is as easy and fun as possible. Their mission is to make active travel the default choice for inner-city transport and logistics.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and deploying code across the full-stack.
• You will be working directly with the founder and existing engineers to build out new user-centric
functionality that will immediately be put in the hands of thousands of users.
• Leading future development – from specification to production code.
• Writing code to a high standard while thinking strategically about how to develop our feature set.
• Helping us to grow and build out a fantastic engineering team including new hires and internal ops.
• Interest in mentoring and training developers and keen to help out where required.

Required Skills:

• 2-5 years experience as a software developer, however, we welcome applications from more
experienced developers looking for a senior role as well.
• Experienced with Typescript, Node, React, Databases and Git.
• Some experience with MongoDB, SQL, Next.js, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Knowledge/experience in microservices.
• A good knowledge of technologies, best practices, and design patterns.
• Fantastic problem solving and debugging skills.
• Experience working in an agile team of developers (Scrum and Kanban) and able to pair programs
effectively.
• Able to work on the whole software development cycle from research and design to implementation.
• High standards for writing clean, well-tested, and well-documented code.
• Ability to think practically about problems and work through issues iteratively.
• Nice to work with – humble, good communication skills, and takes/provides feedback constructively.
• Enthusiastic about software and eager to get your hands dirty – we are looking to create an
environment where people enjoy their jobs.
• Interested in their mission, albeit not necessarily a cyclist!
