Senior Product Manager - Distributed Computing
Our client is reimagining distributed, spatial and scalable computing for web 3.0 and the metaverse. Their products have helped organisations including Microsoft, Epic Games, Minecraft, and the Francis Crick Institute to achieve the impossible and contribute solutions to global problems.
Their distributed cloud platform provides the foundations of web 3.0 applications for the metaverse, enterprise organisations, and the defence sector.
The role: We are looking for an experienced ‘outbound’ focused Sr. Product Manager with a background in leading highly technical products in a non-technical way.
You will be working closely with Sales and Marketing as well as Engineering and other functions, to drive its market positioning, go-to-market plans, and its roadmap execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define a product vision, go to market plan, and a roadmap strategy from inception through the full product lifecycle to deliver against the company KPIs
- Be a strong stakeholder product leader, bringing the rest of the company and existing customers along with your product vision
- Work with lead stakeholders to deliver your product requirements by being a strong and effective communicator and motivator
- Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow/generate market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
- Closely work with Sales, Pre-sales, and Marketing to ensure product collateral, demos are available and serve the product positioning and purpose
- Scope and prioritize requirements based on business and customer impact
- Align closely with the Product Owner and Engineering teams to deliver efficiently with quick time-to-market and minimal overhead
- Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
- Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services
Skills Knowledge:
- 8+ years of Senior Product Manager experience or similar
- High-class degree
- Experience in launching technical B2B, cloud-first products
- Proven work experience in product management in the technology sector with experience in outbound as well as inbound product activities
- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently against a broader strategy and manage stakeholders at all levels both within the company and with its customers
- Flexibility to work outside of the responsibilities of your role if needed
- Strong problem-solving skills
A significant plus:
- Start-up experience
- Experience with (as an advantage) - AI/ML, AR/VR, IoT (Digital Twin), containers (such as Kubernetes), or distributed computing in general
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software agile development and server-side technologies
